The wrong feeder throws the Abuja into the blackout

Residents from the Federal Capital Region (FCT) are wrestling with a power outage following a feeder error that affects many areas.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) announced disturbances in statements issued on Monday and convince customers that efforts are being made to restore supplies.

According to the notification, affected areas include Utako, Wuye, Jabi, Airport, NJI, Narsda, Nabda, Lugbe Shoprite, Riverpark Estate, War College, Dunamis, Nigcomsat, and Nigerian-Korea model schools.

In addition, customers at Lugbe Primary, Zuma Steel, Kapwa Village, Nia Junior/Senior, Tipper Garage, Tudu Wada, Peace Village, Video Club, CRD, 1R, Estate T-Pumpy, New Sites, Back of Dunami, Jedo, and Forte Royal Estate have also been affected.

Extension extended to the main government and military installations, including the ASO Drive, National Security Advisory Office (NSA), the National Assembly (NASS), the National Judicial Council (NJC), the Federal Judicial Council (FJC), and the Supreme Court. Military facilities such as Wubassy Barracks, Army War College, Mamila Barak, Barak Yar’adua, Defense Intelligence Agency (Dia), Niger Barracks, Barak Lungi & AGU ​​Ironi also experienced a blackout.

“We regret telling you that the power outage is due to technical errors in feeders serving this area of ​​public affairs. Our technical teams who are dedicated to work tirelessly to restore power as quickly as possible,” Aedc said.

This is not the first time Abuja has faced a big strength disorder. In February, the Nigerian transmission company (TCN) applied blackouts throughout the FCT to facilitate maintenance work on the 2x100mva TR3 & TR4 transformer at the APO 132/33KV transmission substation.
