31 -year -old woman anchored because of the alleged N2.2M fraud in Ogun

The police on Friday charged a 31 -year -old woman, Aminat Lawal, in the Abeokuta Magistrates court for alleged N2.2 million visa fraud.

Lawal was charged with two accusations to get money for fake and stealing reasons.

He, however, claimed to be innocent for the accusation.

Prosecutor, Insp. Kaninde Fawunmi, told the court that the defendant committed a violation with several other people was still free in November 2024 in Abeokuta.

Fawunmi said the defendant collected money from the complainant, Mr. Yusuf Fadipe, that he would help him secure a South African visa.

The prosecutor added that the defendant, on the contrary, gave complaints with fake travel documents as original and changed the money for his personal use.

Violations, according to Fawunmi, violated section 390 (9) and 419 Criminal Law of the State of Ogun, 2006.

Judge, Ny. Oo Odumosu-Utoba, provides a guarantee of the defendant in the number of N500,000 with two supersies in the same amount.

He ordered that guarantees must be licensed bonds listed in the Ogun State Court.

He postponed this case until April 24 to be mentioned.
