This week, the World Soccer Summit (WFS) begins in Rabat, Morocco, which brings together the most influential football voices to face the growing gap between African teams and the global football ecosystem.
Among them is Debbie Larry-Izamoje de Nigeria, who will boost a high-level conversation about the challenges and learning shared between European and African football clubs.
The CEO of Brila Media and Football Girls Africa (FGA) coordinator, Debbie, is one of the few Nigerians invited to speak at the summit.
She will direct a panel session entitled “Challenges for football clubs: similarities between European and African clubs, and what they can learn from each other.”
Join her in the session are:
• Pitso Mosimane, Founder, Pitso Mosimane Football Youth
• Bernat Villa Gorriz, Technical Chief of Europe and Africa, Barça Academy (FC Barcelona)
• Mohammed Hamdi, International Sports Director, Feyenoord
• José Collado Ripoll, Head of International Sports Projects, Sevilla FC
Meanwhile, the summit will also receive other main dignitaries, including Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Moroccan Football Federation, among others.
Debbie’s participation reinforces its growing influence in the global football space and its dedication to youth empowerment through sport.
Through Football Girls Africa, he has directed dissemination programs and workshops that expose girls in unattended communities to opportunities throughout the football value chain, from training and sports medicine to the media, law and entrepreneurship.
On Wednesday, April 9-10, the 2025 World Soccer Summit will take place at the Polytechnic University of Mohammed VI in Rabat.
