Seven passengers traveling from Abuja to offfa in the state of Kwara were kidnapped on Saturday when armed people ambushed their Toyota Sienna passenger vehicles on Jalan Obbo-Aiyegunle/OSI in the Ekiti Regional Government in the State of Kwara.
The report shows that the suspected kidnappers saved three children who were traveling with their parents. The oldest child of the children who avoided reported the incident to the management of the transportation company, Olumoh Express, in OFFA, from which the victims had risen.
The kidnapping reportedly occurred between 5 pm and 6 pm. The initial effort by local residents to save the victims was unsuccessful.
The Kwara State Police Command, through his spokesman, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the abduction in a statement issued on Sunday.
Mr. Mukuila Ogunlade, a transportation corporate secretary, also confirmed the incident, stated, “The incident really happened. In fact, we had just come from the OSI police station. The bus left the park with five passengers, but the oldest children who were left behind tell us that two people then joined them. At present, we are looking for seven people.”

Sp Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi gave further details in the police statement: “Armed criminals totaling about eight reportedly intercepted a Sienna bus registered FFA 50XD, to the offa from Abuja and forced to kidnap seven residents. Year was found and saved safely.
The order states that efforts have been intensified through wise investigations, intelligence collection, and combing sustainable bushes to track the perpetrators and ensure safe rescue from the remaining victims.
Police Commissioner, Adekimi Ojo, reiterated the commitment of the command to the safety and protection of all residents, urged anyone with useful information to report it through established channels from the State Police Command.
