At least six people were killed and five others were injured in a car accident in the Okene Regional Government in the Kogi state on Monday.
Commander of the Acting Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Mr. Samuel Ogundayo, revealed this to journalists on Tuesday at Okene.
He said seven vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred in the Okene Okene Community at around 21:00 on Monday.

Ogundayo said: “The tragic event begins with the inability of a truck to climb the Okengwe hill, when it loses the brakes and rolling back, destroying two rickshaws, three cars, and crashing into another truck.
“The tragic and poor incident killed six people and five others injured.
“FRSC rescue operators who arrived at the accident site in a good time to escape injured to the referral hospital, Okene, for treatment, while the corpses of the dead were stored in the morgue of onene general hospital.”
