A video that is currently trending in the Nigerian social media room that shows some Chinese citizens openly abusing Naira by spraying it on a local mining site, has triggered a public anger from Nigeria.
In a disturbing video recording, two Chinese expatriates were seen including lumps of naira into the air in a impudent way, which was a clear neglect to Nigerian law about the abuse of currency.
What is more disturbing is the fact that while the poor people of Nigeria at the mining location ruffled -their stretch to get money, diving in all directions to achieve them when they fluttered in the air, Dropol Police officers (mopol), who seemed to be detailed to provide security for Chinese citizens, were also seen struggling to collect scattered currencies.
In the same video, a Chinese woman who is part of the group, is also seen distributing packages about what can be candy or candy to small children who work in mining sites, increasingly triggers concerns over child labor and the exploitation of vulnerable children in Nigeria.
This video has so far triggered anger in the country with many who describe the scenario demeaning and demeaning, while others call for the arrest of Chinese citizens and police officers for embarrassing the country.
The latest video will come a few weeks after a set of Chinese expatriates arrested in the video distributing cash to several police officers at an examination post that also caused a serious public anger.
Under the Law of the Nigerian Central Bank (CBN), spraying or abuse of naira is a violation that can be punished and a large number of Nigerian celebrities have been arrested for abusing Naira but many are now wondering why these Chinese people have not been arrested and demanded.
