A former Commissioner of Health in the state of Enugu, Dr. Samuel Ngwu, has resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The former commissioner announced his resignation in a letter addressed to the Chairperson of the PDP at Umunevo Ward 2 at Enugu North Government Government in the state.
The letter seen by journalists on Friday was also copied to the Chairperson of the PDP in the state of Enugu, Dr. Martin Chukwunwike.

It reads: “This is to tell you about my resignation from PDP which is valid from 28 days in April 2025.
“I thank the Stakeholders of the Democratic Party (PDP) for allowing me to serve my state, Enugu, and the State, Nigeria.”
Ngwu, who later spoke with journalists, said he resigned from the party for personal reasons. Ngwu is the PDP aspiration in the 2011 election for the East Enugu Senatorial District. He is also a national delegation of the state of PDP Enugu between 2011 and 2014.
