Two suspects were arrested on the alleged plot to bomb Lady Gaga’s music concert

The police operation in Brazil has arrested two suspects for the alleged plot to detonate explosives at a free music concert performed by American singer Lady Gaga in Rio de Janeiro.

An anti-LGBTQ group is suspected of planning an explosion and trying to ask children to carry out their plans to use homemade explosives and Molotov cocktails, according to the State Police Rio de Janeiro.

Police Secretary Rio Felipe Cery stated that the investigator thought the suspects intended to target the LGBTQ population in Brazil.

“They clearly say that they planned an attack at the Lady Gaga concert which was motivated by sexual orientation,” Cury told a press conference on Sunday.

“The plan was treated as a ‘collective challenge’ with the aim of gaining fame on social media,” the police said in a statement.
