‘Where is Bello?’ Nigerian Effc question after VDM’s arrest

The new controversy was submitted by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) with the arrest and detention of social media activists, Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman, has caused Nigerians to ask for the status of corruption accusations that were made against the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahain Bello.

While supporters of VDM known as Ratels, are in all social media rooms condemning what they call a command of command where very good people are arrested, they also handle EFCC about why they did not apply such desires in their search to capture Bello for almost eight months after he was declared sought by agencies in the alleged 110 billion.

The Ratel gang is mostly angry with the fact that while the commission has dragged his feet chasing Bello and other famous suspects who have one graft cost or the other depends on their necks, their operators quickly move and arrest ordinary Nigerians.

Remember that Bello was declared sought by EFCC last year because of the alleged misinterporation of financial and embezzlement of state funds. Apart from several invitations, he refused to surrender and miss the court date, only to arrive at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja a few months later with his successor, Usman Ododo and after a few minutes, allowed to leave.

In the appearance in court a few days later, Bello was finally given a guarantee of the N500M which was widely seen as a slap on the wrist in the N110BN case.

One X user says this:

“EFCC @officialefcc; Is Cyberstalking accusations to be corruption & fraud that you fight? This billboard should be for everyone including Yahaya Bello & many other people/ criminals who occupy government positions in Nigeria. Stop fighting against the middle class & freeing the rich.”

The others wrote:
“Why is Yahaya Bello not understood quickly and brought to court? At the time of countless public officials looted billions of Naira from the state treasury with impunity.

“The institution intended to uphold justice seems to be involved in perpetuating inequality …”
