Moses Cobnan was in action since FC Krasnodar assured the title of the Russian Premier League 2024–25 today (Saturday), after a comfortable 3-0 house against Dinamo Moscow.
It is the first title of the Krasnodar League in its 17 years of history.
Upon entering the last day of the campaign at 64 points, only one point ahead of the rivals of the title Zenit Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar needed to beat Dinamo Moscow to be crowned champions.
Krasnodar achieved the feat with Cobnan arriving in the 78th minute for his appearance in League 25 with four goals and an assistance.
Zenit also won a 3-0 house victory against Akhmat Grozny, which was not enough to see them retain the title.
The Nigerian teammate of Cobnan, Olakunke Olusegun, who appeared 19 times with, obtaining two goals in the Russian Topphlight this season, was a substitute not used in the decisive for Saturday’s title.
Cobnan, who joined Krasnodar in January 2023, was instrumental throughout the season.
His crucial objectives in the key matches, such as the late winner against Rostov and a first game against FC Dynamo Makhachkala highlighted their impact.
The actions of the 22 -year -old earned him a contract extension with the club until June 2028.
This title marks a significant achievement for Krasnodar, ensuring its first Premier League championship of the Premier.
Cobnan’s contributions were fundamental for this historical success, solidifying their status as a key figure in the rise of the club to the top of Russian football.
