The Nigerian police have confirmed the elimination of seven abductees and arrests of five robbery suspects in coordinated security operations throughout the Delta and Kaduna states. The operation also caused the recovery of stolen vehicles and firearms.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police praised the operation driven by strong intelligence and collaboration with local vigilantous group for successful results.
“On June 4, 2025, the operators of the Delta State Police Command, along with local criminals and anti-cultural volunteers, acted on credible intelligence regarding the alleged kidnappers along the Abraka railroad axis, involved the kidnappers, who stirred up the cottage, which caused the neutralization of four suspects and the recovery of one AK-47.
In a separate incident, the special assignment team of CP Delta State intercepted a group of armed men along the Ughelli-Patani road, where routine termination near Ebleni Junction increased to another shootout.
“Three suspects were neutralized, and the police found an AK-47 rifle published with eighteen rounds of life ammunition. Investigations revealed that the suspects were part of the abduction syndicate operating in the state,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, a significant breakthrough was also recorded in the State of Kaduna, where police operators arrested five suspects related to armed robbery syndicates accused of terrorizing people in all regions.
The Kaduna operation began with the recovery of the Toyota Hilux vehicle, reportedly stolen from the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja on May 28, 2025.
“The suspect, Mohammed Kabir, a man from Samaru Gusau, the state of Zamfara, was arrested after a high-speed pursuit near the city of Zaria. This arrest also caused the recovery of Toyota Camry which was found to be abandoned near the Kaduna-Sabaja Expressway.”
The statement also confirmed the recovery of more stolen vehicles bound to the suspect arrested.
“The Honda CR-V was also found after the arrest of Emmanuel Oliseh, who had stolen vehicles from Abuja, and a Toyota Camry (1998 model) was intercepted with three suspects, Ibrahim Bala, who then stole by Abdullahi, and Abdulraman Muktar, who then stole Nakulraman.
Praising the security personnel involved, the Police Inspector General, Kayode Egbetokun, described the results as proof of the coordinated police impact and community support.
“The importance of collaboration between police and security stakeholders in combating crime in our community cannot be exaggerated,” IGP said.
He also encouraged citizens to help law enforcement by sharing on time intelligence, emphasizing that community cooperation is still important to improve public safety nationally.
