The D’Bar Legal Team challenged Marc Anthony for the alleged theft of the ‘Oliver Twist’ sample

Afrobeats performer Nigeria D’And has announced that his legal team has contacted the legendary American musician Marc Anthony about the illegal sample recognized from the 2012 SMASH song around the world “Oliver Twist.”

This accusation is related to the album Anthony 2024, Muevense, which is the title of the song intended to directly interpret the single d’Mand without previous consent or authorization.

In a new interview with Adesope Live, D’Mand stated a mixture of flattery and professional determination. “Marc Anthony sampling the song is one of my greatest highlights last year,” he said. “He released last year’s album, and the title of the album and one track was the sample of my song ‘Oliver Twist.'” I listened to it and it was like the Latin version of ‘Oliver Twist.’ “

Despite praising the artistic ability of Marc Anthony, D’Man stressed that the music industry must comply with legal processes, especially when financial benefits are at stake.
