The Minister of Aerospace and Development of Aerospace, Festus Keyamo, has directed relevant airlines in the country to investigate the ongoing battle between the management of air peace and Senator Adams Oshomhole.
In Nigeria, the aviation sector regulatory institution includes the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Federal Nigeria (FAAN) airport authority and others.
The minister revealed that he gave direction in a post on his official X platform (previously known as Twitter) on Friday, June 13, 2025.
It will be remembered that peace of air on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 accused Oshiomhole, a former Governor of Edo’s state to interfere with his activities at Lagos Airport.
The airline claims Mr. Oshiomhole arrived at the Terminal 1 (Zulu Hall) axis for about 20 minutes late for the departure of the plane and was finally prevented to ride.
“Air Peace strongly condemned the implementation that was difficult to regulate from a prominent Nigerian politician who disrupted airport operations on Wednesday, June 11, 2025,” said the airline.

Against the peace of air, Oshiomhole accused the airline extortion staff and denied the opportunity to rise even though he had previously completed the online check-in process before the scheduled flight departure.
He further accused the airline staff of selling tickets at increasing prices to passengers who were able to buy it.
However, in his statement on Friday, Keyamo said he had made direct contact with both parties since the incident occurred.
The statement reads, “After the incident at Lagos Airport last Wednesday involving Airpeace Airline and His Majesty, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, I have made direct contact with both parties since that morning.
“I also direct the aviation institution to carry out restraints in jumping to conclusions in line with the principle of legal that is respected when hearing all parties’ before reaching the assessment. While asking both parties to stop public accusations and accusations.
“I further direct the relevant flight agent to see thoroughly this problem, gather all the available evidence and return to my office so that we can handle this problem in such a way as to guide future behavior in the same situation. Thank you,” he wrote.
