The Nigerian Governor Forum (NGF) has strongly condemned the new violence attack on the Yelewata and Daudu community in the Guma regional government in the state of Benue, describing the attack as a severe violation of human dignity.
In a statement issued on Monday and signed by the Chairman of the NGF, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq from the State of Kwara, the forum expressed a deep sadness of the murder and gave a condolence that touched the heart to the Benue state government, led by Governor Hyacinth Alia, and the affected community.

Cursing attacks in strong terms, the forum states: “This heinous act is a sad insult to human dignity and must be strictly condemned. The Nigerian Governor Forum stands in unwavering solidarity with a mourning family and the state government at this time deep sadness.”

NGF further prayed for healing and strength for the victims and those they love.
“We pray for a peaceful rest from the souls that have gone, Divine comfort for the grieving family, rapid recovery for the injured, and the resilience of the survivors. The forum promises full cooperation and readiness to help the state of benue and relevant authority in restoring peace and security,” he added.
In his last message, the forum asked all Nigerians to ride on the division and unite against violence.
“We urge every Nigerian, regardless of trust or affiliation, to condemn such brutality and collaborate to falsify a country rooted in peace, justice, and mutual respect,” NGF said.
