Williams Raymond, a 55 -year -old businessman, denied on Sunday that he had attacked a lawyer, Ajiki John Boluwaji, and illegally detained one of his workers, Lekan Adwole, for the disappearance of his 17 -year -old son, Adam, about two weeks ago.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gwagwalada Branch, in an online report, accused Raymond of sponsoring the attackers to beat the lawyer, when he went to serve him a letter of request, on an alleged illegal possession of his client, adequate.
Reacting to the accusations, Raymond, told the journalists that it was Boluwaji who came to his office in Apo Market Junction, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, transported him insults when he insisted on the fact that his lawyer had to go through the request letter before honoring.
He said that the lawyer who was dressed in a strange way, attacked an owner of a shop, Itoo Dominic Robert, who came to intervene, when the verbal exchange made a dangerous turning point.
Furthermore, he clarified that the lawyer’s phone was not seized, nor was he prevented from asking for help.
According to him, โhe didn’t seem like a lawyer. In fact, he wore the slippers.
โAnd what I read in the letter is that I will pay him N100,000 for his charge. I will also pay n100,000 to the boy for the shoes he has lost.
“I said all these things are false.” I won’t sign. I will wait for my lawyer to recommend me, consequently. “He became unruly.

โI told them that I was missing from my son. The police officers took those people who worked for me to be questioned, because I left the boy with them.

โAfter the interrogation, the police officers told me that my son still has a contact with adeWole, the applicant.
“I looked for him everywhere. And he is only 17 years old. My son did not show any negative behavior. He never slept outside. He left the Sallah.
“The person who attacked the lawyer was detained. He was a passerby. I don’t even know his name. I don’t know why he is trying to question me.”
