The coach of the national senior team of Nigeria Eric Chelle is not impressed with the defense of the Super Eagles led by Captain William Troost-Ekong, reports Owngoalnigeria.com.
Chelle has been in charge of the Super Eagles in five games, and feels that the amount of possibilities that have gone against them, even in the game against Rwanda, who won 2-0 is a source of concern.
He is particularly concerned about the rhythm of Ekong, the leader of the defense, due to the way they press in the field and, often, play with the full backs that occupy offensive positions.
His concern is why he has intensified the search for more options in the return center, and will meet with the German defender Moritz Jenz. He previously scheduled his meeting at the end of the season, but postponed when the defender married.
Jenz is one of several options that is said that the coach is watching, including the defender of ex enyimba, Chibuike Nwaiwu, who had a first season of assault in Austria with Wolfsberger AC turning the official team of the season in the league.
Nwaiwu is linked to a move in the summer transfer window with equipment in Germany, Belgium and France, they are said to be interested in attracting it.
