The race to replace Ganduje begins, because the APC North-Central Forum demands the position of the National Chairperson

The Congress Forum for all Progressive North Progressive (APC) has asked the Tinubu Bola President and party leadership to allow the northern-middle region to produce the next national party leader after a sudden resignation from the previous chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Gandunje.

The forum that made a request in a statement on Saturday issued in Abuja by its chairman, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, said that leaving the region produced the successor to Ganduje would mean the spirit of “justice, justice, and equality”.

Zazzaga who was a member of the APC Campaign Council for the 2023 General Election, noted that was time was time for the rights to the right by retuning the position of national chairman to the north-central region, while also appealing to Tinubu to Mandate the ACCED NATIONAL NATIONAL NATIONAL NATIONAL NATIONAL CHAIRMAN Convene a Meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) Towards the Emergence of a Substantive National Chairman from the North-Central.

The forum statement reads:
“It is noted that the North-Central APC Forum has long recommended that the party respects the principles of existing zoning regulations that submit the position of the national chairman to the north-middle.

“We are restless that the region is permitted to complete the term of office of the former national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, even going to court to debate our case.

“But after the ratification of the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje as national chairman by the National Executive Committee (NEC) for the whole interest of the party, we decided to suspend agitation.

“Our decision to suspend agitation at that time was also informed by the fact that we observed that APC moved in the right direction, wrapping stronger on the day under Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje leadership as shown by high profile defeat to the party, including the Governor and members of the National Assembly.

“During the time of Alhaji Abdullahi as national chairman, several governors including Delta and Akwa Ibom countries, who defected to APC. Also during that period, several members of the Senate and the House of Representatives joined the party.

“Also, APC, under Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, won the countries held by the opposition, especially the state of Edo, where APC defeated the ruling PDP government.

“Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje also united the party, ensuring stability in the APC when the main opposition parties struggled against a series of internal crises. This and more reasons we decided to suspend agitation.

“Now that after Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje has decided to move aside, we feel it is fair and only for the party, finally, doing the right thing and allowing North-Central to produce national chairpersons, for justice, justice, and justice.

“Therefore, we ask the President of Bola Tinubu, who we found as a listening president, and party stakeholders to allow North-central to produce the next APC chairman.

“We also appeal to the President to direct the Acting Chairperson to immediately hold a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) for the purpose of electing the National Substantive Chairperson, who will come from North-Central.

“The resignation of Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, who proves himself as a capable national chairman, although it is not what we expect, has given a golden opportunity to the party to correct the mistakes and improve the injustice carried out in the north-middle.

“We do not ask for the position of national chairman as well as the right to know that North-Central has a capable personality that can bring APC to victory in 2023.

“Allowing North-central to produce national chairmen will not only ensure that the right thing to do, will ensure that it continues to continue in the path of progress and strength. We urge the party stakeholders not to delay ensuring that the correct thing is done,” the statement added.
