The US court ordered Huawei to face trials on Iranian sanctions, technology theft

A US district judge in Brooklyn has decided that Huawei’s technology must go to court after rejecting the Chinese telecommunications giant effort to have the majority of the 16-counted criminal charges that were dismissed.

The accusations include alleged extortion, trying to steal the secrets of technology from US competitors, and deceive banks about commercial activities in Iran.

The court found enough evidence to conclude that Huawei committed bank fraud, stole trade secrets from six businesses, and was involved in extortion to build his brand.

The accusation against Iran is based on the influence of Huawei on SkyCom, a Hong Kong business that is suspected of functioning as an affiliate of Iran Huawei and has profit from more than $ 100 million in money transactions that carry out sanctions through the US financial system.

Huawei claimed to be innocent for the accusations made against the company and tried to dismiss 13 of 16 accusations, calling himself “the target of prosecution to seek crime.”

The US government has been accused by Chinese officials “economic intimidation” and “oppressing Chinese companies” by quoting national security issues.
