IK Osakioduwa revealed the spiritual battle behind the family name that changed life

The personality of the Nigerian media Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa, known as Osakioduwa, has revealed that changing his family name from Obiara to Osakioduwa is a significant turning point in his life and career.

IK Osakioduwa, which made this known in a new interview with Nancy Isime, said that he felt this change helped him free himself from the “Curse of the Family” and open the door for wealth.

When sharing his personal journey behind the change in his name, he said that the idea was first triggered during a visit to a military hospital in Ikeja with his father, a Nigerian Army officer.

He remembers the moment of self -reflection when registering his name, thinking, “I am almost full of adults. And I still say that I am that son?

The hospital registration process is an important moment, according to IK Osakioduwa. When he heard his name was called loudly, he experienced an emotional resurrection that caused him to re -evaluate his identification.

“My father is in the Army. There is something I need to be treated medically, and we go to a military hospital. When you go there, because it is a military hospital, you must state who you are and who your child or ward is,” he explained.

“I think for myself, ‘I am almost mature. And I still say that I am the same son?’ That moment made me realize that I needed to get up and start building my own identity.

At that time, IK’s family name was Obiara, but the meeting that inspired him to question everything was inspired by the Bible story about Jacob, whose name changed after wrestling with God.

“I began to examine my own name. Then I found my family name embedded in several gods somewhere. I am like, what does that mean? No, I am a Christian. So I am like, okay, I want a different name,” Ik added.

What happened next was a four -year attempt to convince his father to approve the change. With calm support from his mother and consistent prayer, he finally adopted “Osakioduwa.” He explained the importance of a new name: “I know ‘Osa’ is God. ‘Ioduwa’ means God opens the door to wealth. Like now it’s a name!”

IK Osakiode proves that his life has changed significantly since making changes, both professionally and spiritually. “My life was completely changed by that name. He confirmed,” my door for wealth is open. “
