10 months after CDS Moses vowed to get rid of Bello Turji, Bandit Kingpin was still roaming freely

Now 10 months and continues to grow, because the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Major Chris Musa made a solemn oath that the Nigerian military under his supervision, would arrest or neutralize the famous bandit leader, Bello Turji and end his killing government.

CD, during the press conference in Abuja on September 10, boasted that it was only a matter of time before the fear of the bandits he described as crazy would meet his waterloo.

When handling a press conference, Moses has described Turji as a crazy terrorist whose terror government will soon end.

“About Turji’s problem, he is just a crazy person who feels strength, but I can bet you that it is only a matter of time.

‘This is a matter of time; We will get it, and I can convince you that it will be in the shortest possible time, “the head of the army has promised.

At another meeting, Moses again said:
“This is a matter of time, we will get it (Bello), and I can convince you that it will be in the shortest possible time. We will discuss the problem about the issue of payment of retribution to bandits. That is what they live. And that shows you described where they are.”

Many Nigerians who are optimistic have praised the CDS and waited with a restrained breath to promise to be fulfilled but almost a year after the oath, the bandit Gembong has changed from strength to strength, becoming more fierce, brave and difficult to understand.

He continued to release disasters in the residents of the community he had under his control in Zamfara and Sokoto countries, sometimes walking as far as the video mocking the authorities to involve him in the war.

In a video shortly after the Moses press conference, Turji, wearing full military fatigue and branching sophisticated weapons had dared to call the head of the Army by name and accused him of getting all weapons in the military warehouse and chasing him.

In another video, Turji showed some of his kidnapped victims and insisted that the ransom of N50 million he placed for liberation they had to be paid before he released it.

In another video, Gembong Bandit mocks the Nigerian government and security operators, asking them when the chase for him will begin. He then asked a rhetoric whether they were afraid of him.

In the last 10 months, Turji has remained difficult to understand, it seems to be a step before the security forces despite a joint effort to arrest him.

Some close allies and foot soldiers including his son and his cousin had been killed but Turji always managed to escape, giving confidence in satire that he could have informants in the hierarchy of the Nigerian security forces.

In the last few weeks, the famous bandit seems to have changed his tactics and with the smoothness of reaching the authorities who propose a peaceful agreement that is believed by security experts may be a trick to reduce pressure on him while calculating the next line of action.

However, there may be some truths in his claim because the Sokoto state government seems to be open to a peace meeting with terrorists after the security advisor of the Governor of Sokoto, Ahmed Aliyu, Colonel Ahmed Usman (RETD), asks Turji to show the original intention to release all hosting in his captain if he really wants to be a capivity if he wants to be a had to become a hadap.

“If Turji is truly committed to peace, he must prove it by stopping all forms of violence and releasing innocent civilians detained,” Usman said in a statement on Sunday.

Turji first appealed after his trusted allies and cousin killings, Yellow and Bokolo, who were killed in the shootout between his gang and Shinkafi volunteer troops in the state of Zamfara.

In the follow -up to the appeal, Turji, released another video where he once again, called for a peaceful meeting while also calling a bandit in Zamfara to honor two weeks into a ceasefire in the state, claiming that he was approached by state officials to appeal to other bandits to put their weapons.

But going with the anteceden, left to be seen whether his request is original or just a bait to reduce heat to him. Only the time will tell, even when the military head so far failed to fulfill his promise to the Nigerians, who were killed every day by Turji Criminal.
