The sensation of Afrobeats Nigeria Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has opened the reasons behind the Suddenly Rebrand, which made him throw away his trademark mask and Teddy Bear who supported tattoos, smoking, and darker aesthetics.
The musician explained that the changes, including smoking on a controversial screen, were the “art expression” planned rather than betrayal of their nature.
Speaking on a one -year commemoration of his second album, ‘Heis,’ The ‘The Calm Down’ Crooner in a post on social media clarified that Rebrand is very symbolic.
Rema further explained on page X official (previously Twitter) that the cover of the album itself was inspired by Itachi Uchiha from the Japanese Anime series Naruto.

He also maintains in his position that, contrary to what some followers think, the change is only artistic and symbolic and not a crisis of personal identity.
Rema wrote, “Heis, the warning. I stated many reasons for the surface level why I released this project during the interview when it came out, but here there are some” symbolic “details that enclose the energy of the project that I save for myself but now, I want to share.
“Consider this the author’s record;” The cover was inspired by Itachi in Naruto. Masked truth as an illusion, love that is buried under what you think is betrayal (changes in sound, smoking, appearance, aesthetics & color choices). “
