Shettimo arrives London to receive Buhari’s body

Vice -president Kashim Shettimo, on Monday he arrived in London on the directive of President Bola Tinubu, after the death of the former president Muhammadu Buhari.

Freedomonline reports that Shettimo was accompanied by the head of the president’s staff, Femi Gbajabiamilaila.

Upon arrival, the vice -president was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar and the Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno.

Shettimo will accompany the remains of Buhari to Nigeria for the burial in Daura, in the state of Katsina.

The former leader died in London on Sunday after a prolonged illness.
