Sanwo-Oolu Save Lasu for exceptional performance at the Nigerian Law School

The Governor of the State of Lagos Babajide Sanwo-Oell has extended his warm congratulations to Maryam Lawal, an ex-Alunna of Lagos State University (Lasu), for its exceptional success in the recent call of the Nigerian law at the bar ceremony in Abuja. Lawal distinguished himself by emerging both as a best degree student and as a best degree student ever among 7,134 students admitted.

Governor Sanwo-Oell, who acts as a visitor to Lagos State University, expressed the immense pride of the state for the success of Lawal. In a statement released on Wednesday by his special councilor for the media and advertising, Gboyega Akosile, the governor praised Lawal, a brilliant graduate of the right of lasu right (Municipality and Islamic law) and a proud Lagosian.

The prestigious called to the bar ceremony, which was held in Abuja on 10 July, saw Lawal collect eight impressive prizes including a specific prize for the best student in corporate law practices.

Governor Sanwo-Oell observed that “Lawal’s extraordinary realization at the Nigerian law school has again affirmed the reputation of Lagos State University for the production of exceptional graduates in different professions”. He also described Maryam Lawal as “shining ambassador for the state of lasu and lagos on the national phase, as well as a symbol of personal excellence”.
