The tragedy affects as a woman found dead in the auditorium of the church of Ogun

A 41-year-old woman, Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was found dead in a suspected case of suicide inside the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM) Prayer City auditorium, located along the Lagos-Ibadan highway in the state of Ogun.

The Times platform reports that the security analyst, Zagazola Makama, revealed it, saying that the accident occurred on Friday morning, 18 July 2025 and was brought to attention by the Church Church Chief Security Officer, Ekikere Exiever.

According to reports, the tragic accident occurred in the early hours of Friday 18 July 2025, sending shock waves through the Church community and beyond.

According to the Church Church Chief Security Officer, Mr. Esiere Ekikere, the accident came to light after receiving a rescue call to about 7:20 from an official of the church who discovered the woman who lay motionless in the auditorium.

Ekikere said he immediately rushed to the scene and found the woman who did not respond, with an empty bottle of a substantial substance of being sniper, a pesticide prohibited often associated with cases of suicide in Nigeria, which lies next to her.

“The body was found alone inside the auditorium,” Ekikere said.

“He was not a well -known member of the Church and we started working with the authorities to trace his identity and contact those who may have known it.”

The agents of the Ogun State Police Command were promptly invited to the scene, where they conducted a preliminary investigation and documented the scene with the photographs.

The remains of the deceased were subsequently evacuated to the morgue of the divine hospital for the autopsy.

When contacted, the State Police spokesman was not immediately reached for official comments.

The authorities are said to be investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, with current efforts to identify potential witnesses and acquaintances who can shed light on the events that lead to the tragedy.

The Church has not issued an official declaration on the accident when submitting this report.
