Emir of Gusau dies at 71

The Emir of Gusau in the state of Zamfara, his real height Dr. Ibrahim Bello, is dead. He was an age of 71.

He died in Abuja on Friday in a prolonged illness.

Dr. Bello went up the throne as a sixteenth Emir of Gusau on March 16, 2015, after the death of his father.

Before becoming Emir, he had a distinct career in the public service, climbing the position of permanent secretary in the old Sokoto and following the state of Zamfara.

He served on the throne for over 10 years.

Confirming the news, Sulaiman Idis, spokesman for the governor of the state of Zamfara Dauda Lawal, expressed profound pain for the disappearance of Emir, describing it as a personal and state loss.

“I received the news of our father’s disappearance with profound sadness, his real height, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, the Emir of Gusau”, was mentioned the governor for having said in a note.

He extended the condolences to the Council of State of the Chiefs of Zamfara, to the Emiro family, the Mirate of Gusau and the entire people of Zamfara.

β€œThe deceased real father was a pillar of wisdom and leadership.

For over a decade, he led the people of Gusau with dignity, faith and an unwavering commitment to progress, “added the declaration.

Governor Lawal also described Emir as a confidant and a father’s paternal figure, saying: β€œI lost a father whose advice and support were precious.

May omnipotent to forgive his deficiencies and grant him Aljannah. “
