‘Underntoration’ – Presidency against Kwankwaso’s claims about northern neglect under Tinubu

The Presidential has maintained the distribution of infrastructure projects under the government of Bola President Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that the development of roads and other capital investment is guided by economic priorities rather than regional favorite.

Senior Special Assistant in Print Media to the President, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, stated this in a program on television channels on Monday.

He discussed the statement credited to the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who accused North Korea asian in the administrative infrastructure agenda.

Abdulaziz described such a claim as misleading and baseless, emphasizing that the project was chosen based on their national significance and economic value, not geography.

“We must see things as a national project and not as a northern or southern project,” he said.

“That is the main challenge in our political discourse, reducing national development into a regional sentiment.”

According to the President’s aide, what should be a concern of the Nigerians is the economic impact and benefits of the project rather than their location.

“The most important thing is what value is carried by the project, not only where they are placed. If the way increases economic connectivity, reduces transportation costs, and increasing productivity, then it serves the country, not just an area,” Abdulaziz said.

He also rejected the idea of bias, stating that the administration of Tinubu was fair in the project distribution.

“Of course, there is a need for justice and justice, and nothing can be credible accusing the government of being unfair in the north or south. The project is being implemented throughout the country,” said the President’s aide.

At the traffic jam of Abuja-Kaduna-Kaduna Expressway, Abdulaziz clarified that the project had not been abandoned. He revealed that construction is ongoing and the road remains an important part of the Nigerian national transportation infrastructure.
