More than fifty base and professional coaches met for the training seminar of one day Aliyu Zubairu, held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, within the conference room of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA), Ilorin.
The shocking seminar, designed to improve technical knowledge and training capacity, presented the best football minds, including the chief coach of Nigeria U20, Aliyu Zubairu, who delivered a insightful session in the “analysis and evaluation typical of matches.” He also made a practical demonstration about the possession game, helping participants to understand tactical strategies in live scenarios.
The veteran tactical coach Gbenga Ogunbote, known with love as the oracle, led the coaches through a technical session entitled “How to technically develop a player”, where he emphasized the importance of detail -oriented training, the specific development of the players and adaptability in modern football.
Participants were also urged to join their respective state coaches associations to promote collaboration, access educational resources and stay connected within the evolutionary football scene.
Among the dignitaries present were Professor Tajudeen Ibrahim, Sports Director of the University of Ilorin, whose presence added academic credibility and support for the initiative. Others included coach Deji Ayeni, the Crown FC chief coach and coach Paul Odeh, former KFA technical director.
The seminar was widely applauded by its depth, relevance and interactive format, which contributed to continuous efforts to raise training standards in Nigeria.
