People without glasses AI will be disadvantaged in the future

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg told investors during the second quarter of Meta’s revenue call that he believed that people without glasses would be less profitable in the future.

In line with the “Supervisory” blog post that focused this morning, Zuckerberg outlines his optimistic prediction that glasses will be the main way for people to be involved with AI in the coming years.

“I keep thinking that glasses will basically be an ideal form factor for AI, because you can let AI see what you see all day, listen to what you hear, [and] Talk to you, “said Zuckerberg during income calls. Adding the display to the glasses will then open more values, he said, whether it is a wider holographic view, as well as the next generation of Orion AR glasses, or a smaller appearance that might be sent in daily AI glasses.

“I think in the future, if you don’t have glasses that have AI – or some ways to interact with AI – I think you … maybe [going to] Be a significant cognitive loss compared to others, “added Zuckerberg.

This claim is the basis of the Zuckerberg concept of “personal supervision,” which he defines as a complicated AI with a person’s life, purpose and environment.

He argues that because glasses allow AI to see what you see, hear what you hear, and communicate with you naturally throughout the day, they are the perfect form factor for this technology.
