2025 Fiba Afrobasket: NSC Carge d’Tigers to go into gold, while the team goes out for Angola
Abuja (Reporter Core) National Sports Commission (NSC) has accused the Senior men’s basketball team of Nigeria, D’Adurs, to give the best for the champion’s medal.
The team left the country for Angola OM on Saturday 9 August, in view of the 31st edition of the Fiba Afrobasket Championship, scheduled for 12-24 August 2025.
Speaking before the team’s departure, the general manager of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, accused the players of giving his best for the champion’s medal.
“I urge you to do everything for the championship and bring the trophy home. Use the last four qualified games that have been all victories, like your moral booster. No tension; relax, play your game and make Nigeria proud”, Hon. Olopade said.
While Hon. Olopade is on official service in the United Kingdom, he assured that he has sent his support to the team, expressing his wishes and reassured them on the support of the Commission while representing the nation in Angola.
Designed in Group B together with Tunisia, Cameroon and Madagascar, D’Acters are destined to fight some of the best teams on the continent while aiming at the glory of the championship.
The team will be led by the NBA star Josh Okogie, with a talented list with Caleb Agada, Ike Nwamu, Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, Talib Zanna, Stan Okoye, Mike Nuga, Devine Eke, Christian Mekowulu, Martins Igbanu, Ugo Erew Eow Simon, Emmanuel Homogbo, Polina, Polina, Polina, Polina.
