Former lawmaker, Idimogu, please tinubu for forgiveness, release of ipob leader, kanu

Jude Idimogu, a former member of parliament at the Lagos State Council Council, has requested the clemency, asking the President, Ahmed Tinubu ball to use his good offices to forgive the leader of the Biafra Indigenous Peoples (IPOB) 1 MAZI NNAMDI KANU.

Idimogu who spoke to reporters on Sunday stated that he was not pursuing who was wrong or right, but the release of Kanu, which he claimed would bring peace to the southeast and with extension, Nigeria.

Former MPs stated that no individual or group of people could fight the government.

He added further that the release of Kanu would make Igbo extraction from Nigeria happy, and help the aspirations of the President in his business for 2027.

He said, “There is no one, no individual group can fight the government.

“Only for the government led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I talked about. I did not say who was right and who was wrong.

“The president has the power and the right to forgive anyone he wants to forgive.

“So I am pleading with Asiwaju ball Ahmed Tinubu to O use his compassion with the father of the nation to kindly Pardon Nnamdi Kanu, Clemency is just what we want, political solutions, let all meanings. North, All Well Meaning Nigerians, Should Please, Plead with the Federal Government Headed by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it is not a court problem, court, will not be able to do this.

“I request the President’s intervention, to make this person released so that there can be peace in the southeast and with extension in Nigeria.

“And besides that, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has this aspiration for 2027, I think it will help him too. At least the IGBO race will be happy, it is a request for clemency, that’s what I ask,” he said

The leader of the movement to determine his own fate, arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2021, was brought to Nigeria, and was detained at the trial.

Idimogu, urged the Nigerians who were well intended, including the IGBO leaders, and the Southeast Governor, to talk with one vote by asking the President to give forgiveness to Kanu.

He said that forgiveness like that, if granted, would not be forgotten and would help the wealth of the party in the southeast of the 2027 general election.

The former lawmaker said: “I want to ask our president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to be friendly to see the need to use the political method to give Namdi Kanu Namdi.

“I want to ask all Nigerians who are well -intended, not only from IGBO extraction, to help ask the President to use his good office to release Nnamdi Kanu.

“If this is done, I believe the situation and tension of insecurity in the East will be reduced if not fully restrained and eradicated.”

According to him, many criminals have used the name Nnamdi Kanu to cause chaos and cruelty in the region.

Idimogu, Deputy Leader of Ndigbo in Lagos APC, stated that the release of Kanu has many advantages for Southeast and Nigeria.
He said that it would reduce tension and revive the regional economy.

“Mr. President, kindly see the southeast case and bring back the old business and trade in stagnation in the region because of insecurity.

“An on average IGBO man is a trader. We cannot ignore this situation and the contribution of these traders in the southeast to the economy.

“Southeast used to be home to many people before now, it suddenly turned into a nest of insecurity and other bad traits. This can be captured by the release of Kanu.

“Mr. President, we know you are a father with a loving heart, please, help us in the southeast, Grand Kanu Freedom to stabilize our territory,” Idimogu said.
