Arokodare joins the wolves in a four -year agreement

Wolverhampton Wanderers has completed the firm of Nigeria International, Tolu Arokodare on the Belgian side KRC Genk.

It joins the Premier League club in a four -year contract, with the option of one more year.

The 24 -year -old striker moves to Molineux after a prolific spell in Belgium, where he became a key figure for Genk for two seasons.

Standing at 1.97 m, Arokodare will provide a powerful presence in the attack by Vítor Pereira.

Bringing to his official X account (previously Twitter), Arokodare paid tribute to Genk and his followers while preparing for the next chapter of his career.

“After two years with this club and incredible fans, it is time for him to say the next step in my career. I want to thank each teammate, coach and defender who has been with me on this trip. The city of Genk has been more than good for me, and it will always be a place that I will treasure. I leave me proud to have played for this badge and wish the club, but the success in the future.”

Arokodare began his youth career in Nigeria before moving to Europe in 2019 with the side of Latvia Valmiera, where he scored 22 goals in 34 games.

Later he enjoyed loan spells at FC Köln in Germany and Amiens SC in France, registering 21 goals in two campaigns of Ligue 2.

In January 2023, he joined Genk and quickly became a central figure, losing the title of the Belgian league in its first half season.

The last campaign, scored 21 goals from the League to claim the Boot Golden, awarded goals out of the goals after a draw for the totals.

On the international stage, Arokodare has four caps for Nigeria and scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in June against Russia.

The current campaign began with a strike against Standard Liege in August before sealing its transfer to the Premier League.
