Chijioke: Star of the Bayern Academy interested in playing for Nigeria

The exciting young Nigerian Michael Chima Chijioke, who was born in Munich, Germany, has expressed his desire to play for the Nigerian at international level.

Over the years, Nigeria has had players born outside the country and also bring glory to the country.

Players born in countries such as England, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Russia have had the opportunity to represent Nigeria in the main tournaments.

Among those born in Germany and who played for Nigeria are Leon Balogun, Maduka Okoye, Kevin Akpoguma and recently Felix Agu.

Now, a player who wants to emulate these stars and bring honor to Nigeria is Chijioke.

Chijioke joined the Bayern Munich Academy in 2021 and was provided to Ingolstadt in July 2025.

The 14 -year -old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder and also as an extreme, has good drip skills and is a good ball pin.

In addition, Chijioke is a good scorer with a powerful and precise end.

In a talk with Completsports.comThe talented young said it would be a dream come true to represent his country of origin.

“Yes, I would feel to represent Nigeria! Playing for the country of one is a dream come true,” said Chijioke. “Nigeria has a rich history of football, and I would love to contribute to its success and bring pride to the nation.”

Although it is not based on Nigeria, Chijioke said he is a burning follower of the country’s national team.

“Yes, I do it! Nigerian football has produced incredible talents such as Jay-Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu and Victor Osimhen. His skills, achievements and contributions to sport inspire me.”

Chijioke dripping beyond a marker

He called the legendary Super Eagles Captain Austin Okocha as his model to follow.

“I love Okocha’s creativity and ability in the countryside. He is an artist who can overcome defenders with ease and score incredible goals. His passion for football and the ability to inspire others make him a model to follow for aspiring soccer players.”

Apart from Okocha, Chijioke called Brazil and Great Barcelona Ronaldinho as another player he likes.

“I am a great admirer of Ronaldinho. His style, creativity and joy for the game are contagious. Ronaldinho’s skills in the countryside, combined with his humility and kindness outside the field, make him an admirable figure in football.

On what made him decide to enter football: “I always passionate about football. When I grew up, I played with friends in the park and my parents encouraged me to join local clubs. While I developed my skills, I realized that football was not only a hobby but a possible professional career. Dedication, hard work and perseverance have led me to chase my dreams in this beautiful game.”

Speaking about his experience at the Bayern Munich Academy before his loan movement, he described him as incredible.

“Playing for Bayern Munich was an incredible experience. The rich history of the club, passionate fans and the high level of competition pushed me to grow as a player. Training with talented teammates and competing against the best opponents was a dream come true.”

He also talked about how he is doing in his loan movement to Ingolstadt.

“Uniting Ingolstadt has been a great opportunity. The experience of union and training of the team has helped me to develop more my skills. I am enjoying the call and contributing to the success of the team.”

And talking about which club he would love to play in the future: “I would love to play for Real Madrid someday. The style of play of the club, the rich history and the commitment to develop talented players are aligned with my aspirations.”
