Naira approaches N1,500/$ 1 in the official window

The Nigerian currency, Naira, continued to record impressive benefits to the US dollar in the official window on Monday, September 8, 2025.

According to Nigerian central bank data (CBN), Naira was closed on N1, 506.84/$ 1 compared to N1, 514.86/$ 1/$ 1 traded on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

This represents the appreciation of the N8.02 for local currencies against American Greenback.

Naira obtained N20 against American Greenback to trade at N1.525/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.545/$ 1.

Naira obtained N15 against British pounds to trade at N2,090/£ 1 compared to the previous day level N2.105/£ 1.

Naira closes flatly against Canadian dollars to be traded in N1.230/Ca $ 1, equal to the previous day level N1.230/Ca $ 1.

Naira lost N5 to Euro to trade in ₦ 1,790/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,785/€ 1.
