The governor of the state of Borno, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, inaugurated a new integrated Islamic area of ​​48 classes of 48 luggage classes, area of ​​the local government of Kukawa.

The governor said: “We will introduce mathematics and English so that the non -formal educational system is simplified with the formal educational system.

“We will make sure they get a quality education that can qualify them to sit for the joint committee for admissions and enrollments (Jamb) which allows them to admission to the tertiary institutions in Nigeria.”

By expressing the excitement for subscription to Baga Town, Zulum said: “I am so happy to note that the enrollment is very good and I saw the number of children who came out to receive us. We will do everything possible to keep them until they complete the studies. Therefore, I want to introduce a meal a day to the students here.”

The luggage School project is the last of a series of about 20 similar integrated schools established by the Zulum administration throughout the state. The commissioner for education, science, technology and innovation, Eng. Lawan Abba Wakilbe, observed that the state government had provided uniform students, books and other free learning materials.

“So far, about 300 uniforms have been provided, but there is a question for over 500 in luggage. We are sending more books, uniforms, kits of dignity and bags. The government has provided all these items for free, absolutely free.

“The teachers are based on the community and 23 are all residents of the luggage community. The principal was, however, promoted by the local educational authority,” said the commissioner.

The Governor was accompanied by the member of the house of Representatives, Engr Bukar Talba, Member of the House of Assembly, Representing Kukawa, Karta Maina Ma’Aji, Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Prof. Usman Tar, Commissioner of Local Government and Emirates Affairs, Sugun Mai, Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mustapha Ali Busuguma, Executive Secretary, Bogis, Engr Adam Bababe, and other high government officials.

As part of the creation of jobs of the government of the State of Borno, the Babagana Governor Umara Zulum inspected the project for the liquidation of the waters of the Baga-Chad Republic on Friday which is in its final phase.

Governor Zulum observed that when the project has been completed, over a million jobs will be created in agriculture, fishing and through cross -border trade.

“Millions of jobs will be created once this game is completed. This is one of our main objectives; once this job is completed, we can restore millions of jobs to our people,” he assured.

Governor Zulum has also declared that the project would improve the means of sustenance of the community.

He added: “You have seen people start fishing activities here and, above all, in the coming months, the work will be completed and therefore the goods will be transmitted from bag to the republic of the Chad through the waterways.

“It is one of the significant projects, which will improve the socio-economic activities of people and ensure that they have more access to wealth. Above all, the movement of goods and services will increase. I believe this will be a turning point.”

The governor praised the federal government, the Nigerian army, the naval commander, the head of the army staff, the head of the naval staff “and all the other military officers who work very hard to ensure that access to the Chad is open through the waterways”.
