Pap is looking for an NCC partnership on the Empowerment of the beneficiaries

The Presidential Amnesty Program (Pap) searched for the partnership of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on the opportunities for involvement for some former agents and beneficiaries of the program.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the executive vice -president/CEO of the NCC in Abuja, dr. Aminu Maida, Thursday, the dad Administrator, dr. Dennis Otuaro said that the commission’s support would strengthen the father’s post-training Empowerment program.

Otuaro said that there are former agents and beneficiaries of the program with the necessary qualifications and skills that the Commission can use and allow them to contribute to national growth and development.

According to him, there are many of them who had successfully completed their educational and professional training courses in relevant fields in the field of Pap’s efforts for the development of human skills.

He described them as potential human resources that can be exploited for the socio-economic progress of the Niger delta and in fact of the country.

Pap Helmsman said: “We are on a mission to look for support and collaboration with government agencies such as the NCC to see how some of them can be engaged so that they can contribute to their share to national development.

“The entire scope of the program focuses on national and human security in which the beneficiaries are trained in formal education and professional skills, including information technology. Many people have been trained in various professional sectors.

“So far we have over 18,000 people who have been trained. These are potential human resources that should be exploited for national development. According to the planning of the program, we have the post-workout component, employment and empowerment.

“So we have an army of human resources that will contribute to national growth when we commit ourselves. We also have people with philosophy doctors (Phds) who can be easily involved and which is the essence of the development of the human ability that we carry out.”

In his observations, the head of the NCC expressed the commitment of the Commission to provide support and equal opportunities to people without prejudices, underlining that there should also be valuable evidence from the interventions.

Maida said that the commission was ready to carry out its mandate as a regulatory agency while guaranteeing access to digital connectivity by all citizens.

However, he asked for the safety of infrastructure from vandalism to protect digital resources and support digital connectivity across the country.
