Directing his attention to Christantus Uche, Glasner recognized the meteoric ascent of the new signing, versatility and rapid adaptation: “Yes, he showed it [his enjoyment]. That’s why I said that he’s always smiling [earlier in the press conference].
“He said he is living his dream in the Premier League, and that he will give everything to be successful, that is great.
“You will get all the support of all, the players, the staff, to help you improve, to become the best Christantus Uche that can be. And then it will have a good impact on us.”
Where it fits, Glasner said: “I think you can play the three attack positions. I also talked to him, and feels more comfortable in position number 10, and there is also where we see it.
“With JP and Eddie Nketiah as our number 9, we were looking for a player who could be a physical presence of the [number] 10. That is similar to Ismaila: I could play as a [number] Nine, but we believe it is better when he has the game in front of him and can attack the space.
“That is what we see with Uche too. And as with Ismailo, he will take a little time. He will have that time and then introduce us for us.”
