Former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has rejected a broad report that claims that he, together with Governor ABBA Kabir Yusuf, has submitted a letter to the Congress State Chapter All Progressive (APC) which showed their intention to return to the party.
News reports circulating on various platforms on Thursday have indicated that the new presidential candidate from the Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general election has held a meeting with APC leaders in the state with the aim of returning to the party but when reacting to the report, Kankwaso said there was no truth for the report.
In a statement he posted on his X -was handle on Friday, Kwankwaso described a report circulating online, clarifying that no such letter was handed over to any political party.
“We have been told about several online statements that show that we have sent a letter of intention to join political parties in the country,” he wrote.
“We want to clarify that we have not made such a submission to any party.
“Therefore, the public is advised to continue to get information about more information about our problem through an official channel that is already established.”
