The court rejected the submission without a Kanu case in the alleged trial of terrorism

Judge James Omotosho from the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, refused to submit without a case submitted by the leader of the Biafra Indigenous Peoples (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The judge believes that the State Service Department (DSS) has established the Prima Facie case against the IPOB leader.

Therefore, he ordered Kanu to enter his defense in the alleged accusation of terrorism submitted by him by the Federal Government.

Judge Omotosho noted that the evidence presented by DSS showed that the defendant had a case to be answered.

He said: “This is not to say that the defendant was guilty as charged, but he was given the right to a fair trial to prove his innocence.

“The defendant is still innocent until proven guilty, and the prosecution still has an obligation to prove his terrorist and accusations of a criminal of betrayal without doubt.

“However, the court stated that the defendant had to give an explanation given the testimony of witnesses prosecutors to him.

“Submission without a case by Nnamdi Kanu was rejected.

The defendant will enter his defense. “

The judge postponed this case until 8 October.
