Barcelona Go Top of La Liga with a comeback win over Sociedad

Barcelona has taken over the Spanish La Liga leadership place after defeating Sociedad Real 2-1 in the thrilling matvh on Sunday.

Real Sociedad had led a surprise in the 31st minute on a counterattack when Alvaro Odriozola drove to return to the low cross and Barrenetxea.

But Barca leveled two minutes before the first half when defender Jules Kounde met Marcus Rashford’s Corner with the header.

Robert Lewandowski scored the winner’s goal in the 58th minute after Ballon D’Or Lamine Yamal’s runner-up defeated the defender before the perfect dicon in the cross.

Barcelona has won nine points from losing positions in La Liga this season, more than other teams.

The defending champion sealed their sixth victory in seven league matches and moved points from Real Madrid, who lost 5-2 at Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
