The raising awareness of the Sion prayer movement was fired as a false Viral YouTube video by claiming that its spiritual director, the Evangelist Ebuka Obi, was attacked by armed men during the commissioning of a free hospital in Aguleri, in the state of Ambra.
In a declaration issued in Lagos by the Obi media consultant, Mr. Dan Aibangbe, the Ministry has described the relationship as an “evil manufacture” aimed at misleading the public and sowing fear among the faithful in view of his next annual prayer crusade.
According to Aibangbe, the implementation event was held successfully and without accidents, attracting government officials, dignitaries and a large crowd of supporters. He explained that Obi and his entourage left the headquarters around 16:00 and traveled safely to Owerri, in the state of Imo, unlike the false relationship that an attack occurred in Anambra at 20:00
“Although the video generated by the AI will presume concern for the safety of the man of God and has requested prayers, his content was not to say the least wild imaginations intended to discourage people from attending our crusade”, reads the declaration.
Aibangbe also observed that the video undermines the efforts of the security agencies and the government of the state of Anambra, led by the governor Chukwuma Soludo, in guaranteeing a safe environment for public meetings.
He suggested that the misleading video could be a stratagem of his creators to guide the traffic to their platforms or the manual work of the malice producers who try to cause panic among the faithful, including those who travel from abroad for the crusade.
The Ministry has ensured to worshipers that the security agreements at the next event of Ngor Okpala, in the state of IMO, would have been robust, covering the control of the crowd and personal protection.
“The enemies of the Church that have spread falsehoods are already defeated and will be made ashamed by the power of God,” said Aibangbe.
He urged the audience to ignore the viral video, check the information only from credible sources and refrain from sharing unsolicited content. He also revealed that YouTube had marked the video for possible penalties.
