The Federal Capital Regional Police Command (FCT) has explained the death of the news correspondent that emerged, Somtochukwu Haduagwu.
The 29 -year -old anchor died in an armed robbery incident at his residence on Monday.
FCT Police Commissioner, AJAO Adewale, said in an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday that the journalist died after he jumped from the top floor of the curtain apartment during the incident.
Clarification following the previous report showing the death of Somtochukwu was caused by alleged negligence at the Maitama General Hospital, where he was rushed to the after the incident.
According to CP, the deceased was found unconscious at the scene and immediately rushed to the hospital.

He said: “The police moved to the scene and found he was unconscious. He was immediately taken to the Maitama General Hospital, where the doctor tried to realize him using CPR, but unfortunately, he could not succeed.”
Detailing how the attack occurred, Adewale explained that the robbers hit a unique apartment, a three -story twin building with 18 flat, located around the Gishiri axis from Katampe, under the Mabushi division.
“Some unknown armed robbers get access to unique apartments, where Sommie lives. Two private security guards are on duty. One of them, who dared to challenge the robbers, suffered a shot injury. In the panic that followed, Sommie, who lived on the top floor of the building, jumped down from the third floor. The consequence was Tragic and very unfortunate.
