ATABATELE shows the basic impact, says the leadership beyond the titles

The vice leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly minorities, Hon. Lokmon Atabatele, said that his style of representation is guided by the service to the people rather than political qualifications, underlining that his record of successes talks about his commitment for the Grade.

ATABATELE, who spoke through his media team, said that his guiding principle was to remain “a man of the people”, a commitment he has noticed was reflected in various projects for the transformation of life spread into Abakuta and beyond subsequent legislative interventions and the Lokmon Atobatele Development Foundation (Ladef).

According to him, his Empowerment initiatives cut agriculture, health care, education, infrastructure, scholarships and youth development.

He has revealed that so far over 500 young people have been trained in modern agriculture, hydroponic and agricultural management techniques in collaboration with the Soilless Farm Lab. Farmers in his electoral college, he added, also benefited from the free distribution of fertilizers and agricultural inputs to increase food production and reduce hunger.

On health care, Atabatele has listed the completion of 91 free surgical interventions for the hard residents of Abeokuta, including hernia, cataracts and breast nodules, in collaboration with Lekfad Medical Center. He revealed that 134 traditional sovereigns, which include heads and Baales Egba, were also registered in health insurance patterns to ensure sustainable access to medical services.

In the education sector, the legislator said he has renovated the classrooms at the Baptist School and the Mosory Abiola School, also building a new block of classes with staff offices to improve learning conditions.

In the same way, he observed that 53 students are currently in his scholarships regime, aimed at relieving parents of financial charges.

Other interventions focused on the community, according to him, include the construction of a concrete road to Oke Abetu, supply of N1 million to energize the transformer to the Aidi Oya Kemta extensions and the sponsorship of football tournaments to promote talents and youth units.

Atobatele added that the partnerships with the NGOs, including Mercy said no base, contributed to extending rescue materials and health services to vulnerable families.

Underlining that the leadership should be defined by the service, not by the qualifications, he said:

“The deputy leader of minorities is only a nomenclature. The titles will go and will go, but my greatest fulfillment is to be remembered as a leader who touched life, created opportunities and gave his people a reason to believe in the government once again.”
