Pescara completes deal to sign Nigerian U-20 midfielder from AC Milan

21-year-old Nigerian midfielder Victor Eletu has left Italian side AC Milan on a permanent transfer after seven years at the club, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Eletu joined the team at the age of 14 and progressed through the youth ranks, where he ended up being part of Nigeria’s squad for the U20 World Cup three years ago.

After failing to make his first-team debut, the left-footed ace has now taken his trade two steps lower by joining Serie C side Pescara in search of professional experience.

Pescara is rebuilding and his signing is seen as one of the steps taken by the club’s hierarchy to reposition the team for the challenges of next season.

The announcement is said to be imminent and he signs a three-year contract with the option of a further year after a routine medical examination.
