‘You can only become a local champion on Ebonyi’ – Aisha Yesufu mocking Umahi after clashes with journalists, ocal

Socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, mocked the Minister of Public Works, Dave Umahi, following a fierce dispute he did with the arise television host, Rufai Osian, regarding the cost of several parts of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

Instead, in a direct interview on Tuesday, Rufai accused Umahi to report it to the President of Bola Tinubu for asking about the cost per kilometer of the coastal highway.

But when reacting with anger towards OSEI accusations, Umahi said that the TV host was too small to be reported to the President and in a fierce debate that occurred later, Osian asked the Minister to shut up, insisting that he had empirical facts about the project and the costs incurred were not in accordance with what was told to the Nigerian community.

However, one of the organizers of the Bringbackourgirls movement in a post on X on Wednesday said Umahi was sure he was still the Governor of the State Ebonyi where he was a local champion.

“There is an average cost. He does not have to provide specific numbers,” Yesufu wrote in his post.

“Because it can be understood that a few kilometers may cost more than the others, but he can provide an estimated number.

“Of course Dave Umahi still thinks he is in the state of Ebonyi where he became a local champion.”
