Falsification: Tinubu, his cabinet and the DSS must be held responsible, says Atiku – Tharea

Former vice -president Atiku Abubakar invited President Bola Tinubu to deal with now on issues such as the accusations of falsification of certificates against Minister Uche Nnaji with the seriousness he deserves, through the summary dismissal and judicial proceeding.

According to Abubakar, in a statement he signed and sent to Thaisage, Tuesday’s resignation of Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, once again brought the profound moral crisis in the heart of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

He said that what should normally be a matter of national shame is now disguised as “voluntary resignation”, an attempt to cover up yet another scandal that characterizes the character full of falsifications of this government.

*Let’s say the truth: Uche Nnaji should not have been granted the courtesy of resignation. It should have been summarized briefly and pursued by deception and falsification. By allowing him to leave the service door silently, the Tinubu administration has once again shown that he was an assembly of lines, impostors and morally failed individuals masked by public officials,* said Abubakar, adding that

*What makes all this even more embarrassing is that the same department of State Services (DSS) that has excluded Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for alleged “security problems” is the same agency that has exonerated the same character, Uche Nnaji. The DSS really deserves our flowers for this national misfortune. Their failure in due diligence has made Nigeria an object of ridicule in front of the world and raises the question: how many others of these individuals occupy sensitive positions in this government?

*This episode is not isolated. It is the reflection of a model, of a rot that starts right from above. The man who occupies the position of president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been involved in disputes on his identity, age and academic results for decades. *From the Chicago State University saga to the multiple contradictory statements under oath, the world has seen large evidence of the fact that Nigeria today is guided by a man who has not been able to defend the authenticity of its certificates in a credible way.

*When a man with a questionable identity leads a country, deception becomes the government standard. The personal history of Tinubu of alleged falsification and perjury has in fact institutionalized the falsehood in the public service. It is therefore not surprising that his ministers and collaborators followed his example by falsifying documents, inflating the registers and desecrating the moral foundation of our nation.

He asked for an independent, transparent and complete investigation on the academic and professional credentials of all members of the Federal Executive Council, starting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Nigerians deserve to know the truth about those who preside over their lives and resources.

Until this cleaning is completed, Abubakar said, Nigeria will continue to sink more and more in moral decay, economic ruin and global embarrassment. The time has come to save our country from the grip of deception and restore the integrity of public life.
