Man Utd “Killer” Osula confirms interest from Super Eagles – Am I eligible

William Osula, who scored Newcastle United’s winning goal against Manchester United in the English Premier League yesterday, may play for the Nigerian senior team, reports OwnGoalNigeria.com.

Born in Denmark to a Danish mother and Nigerian-French father, he moved to England at a young age, making him eligible to play for four countries at international level: Denmark, France, England and Nigeria.

So far he has only played for Denmark at under-19 level in one friendly match, leaving him eligible for others. Last year he was unable to fulfill his first call-up to the Denmark senior team due to injury.

Shortly after being called up by Denmark, he revealed that playing for Nigeria’s senior team is a possibility, due to his strong Nigerian roots, but he feels more comfortable with Denmark.

“I appreciate my Nigerian roots and I follow the senior team, which was a possibility for me. But I feel at home in Denmark and I hope to have a good international career there,” he said.
