“Disgusting” – Davido reacts to Edo school bullying video, demands accountability

Afrobeats star, David Adeleke aka Davido has condemned the disturbing bullying incident involving students of Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State, describing the act as “disgusting.”

The singer reacted on Sunday after a video emerged online showing two male students physically attacking another student while a third person recorded the incident.

In footage circulating on social media, the victim was seen being beaten and kicked repeatedly by the attackers, sparking anger among Nigerians.

In a post on his X account, Davido condemned the perpetrators and called them “damn animals.

Following the strong reaction, the management of Igbinedion Secondary School announced that the students involved in the attack had been expelled from the campus.

The student who filmed the incident has also been suspended, according to the school.

Meanwhile, the Edo State Police Command has confirmed that it is investigating the matter and assured the public that those responsible will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The incident has sparked a wider conversation about bullying, student discipline, and safety in Nigerian schools, and many are calling for stronger action to protect students.
