NFF proposes new and improved deal for Super Eagles coach: Report

The NFF plans for Eric Chelle to continue as coach of the Super Eagles and has therefore proposed a new and improved contract..

According The punchthe NFF is willing to double his monthly salary to $100,000.

This figure is less than the $130,000 that the coach demanded through his representatives.

He demanded a considerable increase, as he has to continue paying the salaries of his carefully selected assistants.

The 48-year-old coach has a contract until January 2027 with the option of one more year.

However, he has so far failed to meet the two goals his employers set for him in his first year at the helm of the national team: qualifying for the 2026 World Cup and reaching the 2025 AFCON final.

He has also been linked with various jobs in Africa and Europe since leading the Super Eagles to finish third at the recent AFCON in Morocco.
