The Sportsville Award has a new date

The organizers of the annual Sportsville Special Recognition Award have announced a new date for this year’s edition.
The new date is April 3, 2026 versus the previously advertised date of March 28.
The postponement, according to a statement released by Sportsville CEO, Frank Ilaboya, is to allow full participation following the engagement of some awardees and dignitaries in the nation’s capital on the same 28th!
“We realize that the earlier date of March 28 is no longer feasible due to an urgent national assignment in Abuja in which most of the awardees and invited dignitaries are also involved.
“To give opportunity to most of the dignitaries invited to the ceremony, we need to advance our date by a week,” Ilaboya further explained.
The annual award, which is in its sixth year this year, is a gathering of sports personalities, journalists and the crème de la crème of society.
The event takes place at the prestigious Lagos Country Club, Ikeja Lagos, presided over by Dr. Larry Izamoje, Chairman of Brila Media Group.
