Salihu Yakassai, former Director General of Media and Communications to former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Yakassai announced the switch in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Monday,
The former governor’s aide said he took the decision to join the ADC after consulting with his family and political associates.
Yakassai ditched APC for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2022.
He later rejoined the APC after the 2023 general elections.

He wrote: “After advising and contacting family and friends as well as other political activists, we decided to join the ADC Party New Journey!
“I have submitted my letter of departure from the APC and registration with the ADC of our new party.
“For those who are interested in joining the ADC party, you can register via the party link, soon you will get a membership card!”
“We pray to God that this is the best, and that ADC builds a government that transcends borders, and that this will be a blessing for all Nigerians, amen!”
